During the Christmas break of 2001 I took a trip out west. I drove to Vegas, mostly via I-70. Then I drove up SR-99 in California to Napa Valley. Then I drove back along I-80. Nine days in all. These are some pics from my trip. The best ones are, of course, from Death Valley when I and a penpal from Japan that I met in Vegas watched the sun set on December 18th.
